Senator Borgeas Praises US Senate on USMCA Passage

Fresno – Senator Andreas Borgeas (R-Fresno) issued the following statement in response to the passage of the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA):

“I am pleased to hear Congress has overwhelmingly approved the USCMA in a bipartisan fashion,” said Senator Borgeas. “This new agreement will benefit San Joaquin Valley farmers, farm workers, and the food industry for years to come. In 2019, Fresno County was ranked first in the nation in agricultural production, producing nearly $7.9 billion worth of agriculture. I am honored to represent the region well-known as the ‘Breadbasket of the World.’”

Last year Senator Borgeas was a staunch supporter of Senate Joint Resolution 12 introduced by Senate Republican Leader Shannon Grove (R-Bakersfield) which urged Congress to approve the USMCA.
